Day 20 – Hostel in Kochi City

Breakfast is at 615 am and I am on the road at 7 am. I go back to Temple 28 to get my stamp and pay my respects. The lady in the stamp office is very nice to me and wishes me well. On the road and off to Temple 29. On the way, I stop and 7-Eleven for second breakfast. A half hour later, I am off to Temple 29 that is not far away. Temple 29 has a beautiful garden. Probably the nicest one so far at the temples. I cross paths with the Aussies again and head to Temple 30. I get to Temple 30 or so I think. In truth, I am at the Shinto Shrine next door. Much older and ornate. I go to the office for my stamp and the send me next door to the real temple. Much more modern and very nice. I go to get my stamp and the stamp lady gives me ossetai and tea to boot. Awesome smile on a lady in her 80s or more. Full of mischief! Outside I run into a Dutch group and have a chat when the Aussies finally catch up. I part ways again and head to the supermarket for some real food. There are times where I just have to try the local fare. This time it is a Japan Soda in Pineapple flavor. A Pepsi product. As I ate my late lunch, I watched a young mother with the perfect little daughter. Very cute to watch. There was also the eight grandparents with about 10 grandkids orbiting them as they sat and chatted away. Up and on the road for my last stop, my hostel for the night! Luckily it was only an hour away. I walk in and it is so nice. Very clean and modern. I meet to young women going to a public health conference the next day. Smart ladies and very humble. I check in and the head to Mos Burger for dinner. It is a bit of a walk but fine. Pretty good food. I arrive back at the hostel ready for bed. Good night everyone!
