Day 36 – Temple Room on road to #44

I had a very nice sleep and woke up a little late. I cleaned the room and left my nameslip. Very thankful to stay on temple ground. I went to McDonalds. So cheap in Japan and good coffee and wifi. On the road at 8 am. I make Uchiko by 11 am and have lunch and pick up food for the next days. The path to Temple 44 does not have food places on it for the most part. I plan to stay in a Daishido on the way. I grab a macha icecream and hit the road. Technically, I am breaking a rule by walking and eating. Oh well, no one sees me for quite some time on that road. I get to the Daishido and ask the lady across the street if it is ok. She says yes and shows me where the toilet is at. She is a little cross but I just keep smiling and saying thank you. She tells me the Daishido is only for sleeping so I walk down the way to find a place to eat by the road. When I return, the Daishido is locked. I go find the lady and she says she forgot about me and sorry. First time I see her smile. Very kind smile. I am now typing this entry and plan to read a bit before bed. I am very grateful for the journey. Good night all.
