Day 7 – Hostel PAX in Tokushima

Up at 6 am again, my body now is on a hikers schedule. The feet are better but a day off would be perfect. Only one temple today number 17. First, I want coffee and I head down the road to the 7 eleven. I get out my guidebook and post pictures to Instagram. Internet was not available for several days now. I finish up and head to Temple 17. The Frenchman and the Italian are there and we say our goodbyes since our paths now diverge. The Frenchman decides to come with me to Tokushima for a rest day. His feet hurt too. On our way, a little old lady stops us for a coffee and snack from her bicycle bag…ossetai. Once again, very thankful. We make the city and head to the hostel to drop our bags and then head for a ramen noodle spot. Very good. Then polish off a macha icecream cone. Excellent. Back to the hostel and take the shoes off and rest and catch up on some blog posts. Another discussion commences on the typhoon and we decide to stay one more night in Tokushima but we will walk Temple 18 and 19 and take the train back. We really need to know where this typhoon will hit and where to ride it out. The Japanese are aware of it just not concerned yet. Very uneffected. We head for dinner at a Okonomiyaki place. Excellent food again! Now I am back writing this post and about to go to bed. Good night all.
